It may have seemed strange for Jesus to speak of peace, while also talking about being betrayed, denied, and crucified. That his peace could overcome such brokenness was a testament to its divine source. The peace we need is just different than the kind of peace the world can offer. We need the peace that starts with reconciliation with God.
